Proper rugby

Well, another win under our belt. We put on a pretty impressive dispaly on Staurday and managed to hold Linwood to one penalty on Saturday. They were pretty big and they went hard out but our defence was amazing. Some massive first up tackles meant they had no joy breaking the gainline. The game was great craic for 2 reasons. One, the weather was ok but the pitch was plenty soft and a bit wet. Two, it was played in great spirits. After every ruck (where the hits were pretty savage) there was always picking someone up and the mandatory calls of "shot, bro". Good times!

The rest of the weekend was spent up in the bloody attic trying to fix the water tank. The old ball-cock was stuffed so I had a bit of plumbing to do. The nice thing was that both our neighbours dropped round to let us know that we had a problem and offer help. They seem like nice people and it's good to know the old comunity spirit is strong in the old cul de sac!
